I had dinner here with my pilgrim friends while walking the Way of St. Francis, and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The owner was exceptionally kind and courteous in that old-fashioned way, welcoming us with open arms. The dishes were truly delicious, with excellent quality and authentic flavors. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion that goes into the cooking. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming, but what really makes the difference is the hospitality: Gaetano is exceptionally kind, always smiling and helpful, and knows how to make guests feel at ease from the very first moment. We had lunch at Ristorante Federico da Montefeltro in Gubbio, in its charming courtyard garden (accessible by climbing about ten steps). The owner, Massimiliano, a true Gubbian, was kind and empathetic: he told us about the city’s history and gave us a map, marking the loveliest places to visit. We enjoyed an excellent platter of local cured meats and cheeses, two portions of plain pasta for the girls, penne with wild boar ragù and penne with white herb ragù, accompanied by house wine, water and coffee. Right in the city centre, with traditional cuisine, a pleasant atmosphere and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

We heard about this restaurant on the recommendation of a local and had the pleasure of having lunch there. They seated us on the garden terrace indoors, from where you can admire part of Gubbio’s historic centre. The food and service were excellent. We had their homemade fettuccine with pork and veal ragù, flavourful and tender, pork shank, pork loin with tuna sauce, and lemon chicken strips... To finish, homemade lemon tiramisu as well. Everything was delicious. The owner, Massimiliano, and the staff recommended some dishes to us and were kind and lovely. They also recommended us for other future events, so we’d love to return—and we’ll definitely be back to eat at this restaurant, which is absolutely worth visiting for the food, the staff, and the atmosphere.

On a trip to Gubbio with my family, we dined at this place. Quiet environment, kind, helpful owner who is always attentive. We ate typical Umbrian dishes made with excellent ingredients. They kindly offered us a traditional truffle dish, simple but top-notch! Great value for money. Highly recommended.
